Vehicles in exports

Following items need to be fulfilled against Iceland Customs before a vehicle can be transported from Iceland: 

1. Vehicle registration certificate  (Skráningarvottorð ökutækis).

a. If the possessor of the vehicle is not the owner as per the registration certificate then a written approval of the owner is required.  (If the owner is a leasing company or an insurance company then an e-mail is sufficient).

b. Information on vehicle ownership can be obtained in the Icelandic vehicle register.

2. Registration
If any outstanding debts are on the vehicle then a written approval is required from the mortgagee.  If the mortgagee is a leasing company or an insurance company then an e-mail is sufficient).

Following documents need to accompany a customs clearance report (Tollskýrsla):

Copy of the AWB 
Invoice
Certified vehicle registration
