Personal effects

There are a few things to bear in mind when moving personal effects in air cargo. 

For security reasons cargo that is classified as personal effect need to be stored in our warehouse for 24 hours before departure.

Personal effects are not allowed as cargo in passenger aircraft to and from the USA. 

Things to bear in mind:

1. Quantity
It is important to measure the weight and volume of the shipment.  It is the responsibility of the customer to provide as accurate information regarding size and measurements of the shipment.

2. Quote offer
When quantity and volume have been measured then the next step is to send us a form for quote offer. [hér vantar tilboðsbeiðni á ensku]

3. Papers that need to be filled out and provided
1) Content or packing list - A list of everything within the personal effects shipment.

4. Packaging 
It is important that personal effects are properly packaged and the packages can withstand transportation. 

5. Payment terms
Personal effects are always on PP (Charges Prepaid).

6. Booking personal effects
It is best to contact a freight forwarder for booking personal effects.
